Clare’s Oireachtas members are being urged to attend a special meeting today aimed at ensuring the new divisional Garda headquarters for Clare and Tipperary is located here.
A steering group made up of some members of Clare’s Joint Policing Committee will lead the meeting.
They’re concerned that once the two counties merge from January, the new headquarters will be located in Thurles despite Clare having an international airport and attracting high-profile political visits this year.
