The President of the AGSI says there’s currently nothing to indicate that Clare’s Garda superintendents won’t be transferred out of this county.

There’s been mixed reaction to the announcement of the new Operating Model for the Gardaí, which will see Clare amalgamate with Tipperary.

The number of divisions is being reduced from 28 to 19, while the number of regions will go from six to four, in one of the biggest ever overhauls of policing in Ireland.
