High Visibility Speed Enforcement Zones In Place In Clare On Slow Down Day

Gardaí in Clare are urging drivers on essential journeys to slow down.

Today is National Slow Down Day and An Garda Síochána, supported by the Road Safety Authority is carrying out high visibility speed enforcement in zones across the county, and nationally.

The operation aims to reduce the number of speed-related collisions, save lives and reduce injuries on our roads.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Triona Brooks says that although traffic volumes have reduced during the lockdown, there are more vulnerable users on the roads.
