Pick-Up In Voting Across Clare

There's been a pick up in voting across Clare as the lunchtime rush gets underway.

Just short of 83,000 people have an opportunity to have their say at 100 polling stations across the county, while around 4,500 residents in the Parteen and Meelick areas are included in the Limerick City constituency.

So far this lunchtime, turnout in Newmarket on Fergus is at 12%, while in Quilty and Shannon the figure is at 13%.

In Ennis, Both Cloughleigh and Drumbiggle are reporting 15% turnout as is Barefield, while in Crusheen 10% of people have come out to cast their vote.

However, the highest figure to date is 17% at Bansha near Kilkee.
