Permission Sought For Flood Protection Works In Clohauninchy

Flood protection works in Clohauninchy are one step closer after a planning application has been lodged for the development.

Clare County Council is seeking permission for the project at Clohauninchy, Quilty.

The proposed development includes the construction of two new flood embankments as well as the protection of the existing dune system with fencing and access points, as well as associated works.

A decision is due by May 3rd, and Michael Neenan who’s Chairman of the Clohauninchy Action Group says there can be no further delays.
