Permission for 170 new Clare homes last year

Planning permission was granted for 170 new houses in Clare last year.

The number is the highest seen here since 2011, but still a long way short of the peak of the economic boom.

This is an increase of 30 on the figure for the previous year, but still a long way off the 1,043 that were given the go-ahead in 2004, the highest number on record.
