Overcrowding At UHL More Than Double Any Other Facility Today

Overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is more than double that of any other facility in the country today.

47 patients are waiting for a bed at University Hospital Limerick according to the INMO – 38 of these are in the emergency department.

It’s a slight increase on yesterday’s figure of 43.

The next busiest facility, Tullamore’s Midland Regional Hospital, has just 18 patients waiting to be admitted today.

In contrast, the HSE’s own TrolleyGar statistics show 12 people on trolleys in Dooradoyle as of this morning.
