O’Sullivan Suggests McNamara May Yet Run In General Election

A Labour TD has suggested that former Clare TD Michael McNamara could still run for the party in the next General Election.

The Scariff politician effectively ruled out that possibility recently, when he declared his intention to run in the European elections that take place in May.

That leaves Labour without an obvious candidate in Clare – the party says it will put one person forward.

However, as talks continue to renew the Confidence and Supply agreement and the possibility of an early election remains, Limerick TD Jan O’Sullivan suggests the timing of that ballot could lead to a re-think.
