Opportunities To Revitalise Rural Clare Being Missed Under LEADER Programme

It’s claimed that an opportunity to revitalise rural Clare is being missed, because money is not being released under a key funding programme.

200 million euro has been allocated for spending throughout Ireland – including nearly 9 million in clare – as part of the LEADER scheme.

But this weekend, Fianna Fáil have claimed that only 118 thousand has been spent throughout the entire country, just 0.06% of the total amount on a scheme that is running from 2014-2020.
