Nurses To Protest At UHL Over ‘Intolerable’ Conditions

Nurses are to protest at the region’s main hospital today over what’s described as the ‘intolerable conditions’ facing patients and staff there on a daily basis.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is holding demonstrations at University Hospital Limerick and Cork University Hospital from 12.30, following one held in Galway yesterday.

They’re expressing anger at the continuing overcrowding crisis, as well as the fact that the HSE has yet to publish a plan for the coming winter.
