Number Of Destroyed Dogs In Clare Hits A Record Low In 2017

The number of dogs destroyed in Clare in the past year has hit a record low of just 17.

It marks a major decrease of the more than 300 killed in 2016, while that figure was over 1,000 the year before.

The animals that were put down over the past 12 months were only done so in exceptional circumstances – for example, where the animal’s health was at risk or if they had been terrorising livestock.
