NUJ Concerned Over RTE Job Cuts

The National Union of Journalists says it is ‘noted with concern’ the announcement of job cuts at RTE.

 

The company’s Director General today confirmed plans to reduce the organisation’s workforce by more than 200.

A site is also being put up for sale on their Donnybrook campus, with a 75 million euro pricetag.

The NUJ says it’ll be working with unions there to ensure any redundancy programme doesn’t have a negative impact on RTE’s obligations as a public service broadcaster.
