The Justice Minister has indicated that a report into the investigation of the death in mysterious circumstances of a young Sixmilebridge man in 1984 will be completed by the end of the year.

23-year-old Patrick Nugent lost his life in Bunratty Folk Park in 1984, and his family have called for a full public inquiry into the ensuing investigation.

The case is one of five that are being examined in statutory inquries that are being carried out, and Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan says two of those are completed, although Mr. Nugent’s case is not one of those.
