Norwegian Air International will announce flights from Shannon Airport to the US this morning.
Reports in the US say the airline, which is outlining its plans for Ireland later, will fly a twice weekly service between Shannon and Providence, Rhode Island with the flights set to begin on July 3rd.
The service will operate on a year-round basis.
