Noeleen Moran has been selected to run for Sinn Fein in the North Clare Constituency in next year’s local elections.
The Ballyvaughan native, who was selected at the party’s election convention in Lisdoonvarna last night, narrowly missed out on a seat in the West Clare electoral area four years ago.
She also ran for Sinn Fein in the 2016 general election and polled strongly securing over 4000 first preference votes, and was chosen earlier this year as one of two candidates to run for the party in the next general election.

In a statement to Clare FM, Ms Moran says she’s honoured to have been selected, saying housing, rural services and environmental and traffic management issues are among the important issues for North Clare.
