There are currently no homes available for rent in Clare that a single person in receipt of housing supports can afford.
While for a family of up to three children, there’s just one property in the entire county that meets the limits of those on the Housing Assistance Payment scheme.
It comes as the Simon Communities latest report reveals that nationally just 7 percent of properties are within the limits of those on rent allowance, while the number of available homes has halved since May of 2015.
