Clare’s nine blue flag beaches have all retained the important environmental award.
It’s been announced that Blue Flags can again be flown this year at beaches in Cappa, Kilkee, Fanore, Lahinch, Spanish Point, Ballycuggeran, Mountshannon and at Whitestrand beaches in Doonbeg and Miltown Malbay.
Four Green Coast awards have also been awarded to Clare, including a first-ever honour to Carrigaholt.
