Ní Riada – No Public Servant Should Be Beyond Scrutiny

Sinn Fein’s Presidential hopeful believes no public servant should be beyond scrutiny, even the President.

Ireland South MEP Liadh Ní Riada is the most recent candidate to throw her hat into the ring in the race for the Áras, after Senator Joan Freeman and businessmen Sean Gallagher, Gavin Duffy and Peter Casey secured nominations.

The cost of Michael D Higgins’ presidential term is set to be examined by an Oireachtas committee next week – despite being warned doing so may be “unconstitutional”.
