As the snow accumulations continue to build in Clare, Meals on Wheels deliveries from Newmarket-on-Fergus have continued as normal, thanks to a an all-hands-on-deck effort.
Despite the Red Weather Alert in place, Obair is delivering food to over 200 people in Newmarket and surrounding communities, though they will be unable to carry out deliveries to the elderly tomorrow or Friday.
But Youth and Community Development Officer with Obair in Newmarket on Fergus Siobhán O’Driscoll says they’re not leaving anyone to go hungry:
