New Tourism Brand Will ‘Slow Down’ Visitors Passing Through East Clare

It’s hoped tourists coming to Clare will slow down and enjoy the east of the county thanks to a new tourism initiative to drive visitors there.

Fáilte Ireland has launched Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, which is a 2 million euro plan targeting communities along the River Shannon, from Leitrim down to Clare.

It’s designed to boost footfall in areas that are traditionally missed by visitors coming to Ireland, who tend to gravitate towards the cities and coasts.
