As part of the Project Ireland 2040 plan, theatres, museums and arts centres around the country will receive a funding boost, with 178 million will going towards the Gaelteacht, the Irish Language and the islands.

1.5 million euro of the fund has been ring-fenced for the development of culture hubs in the the country’s three Líonrá Gaeilge, or Irish Language Network Communities, which could mean a half a million euro boost for Ennis.
