New Gardaí Expected For Clare In Coming Weeks

Clare is in line for an injection of new Gardaí in the coming weeks.

The head of the county’s Garda Division says the traffic unit in Clare will be the first unit to see extra officers allocated, with others expected to experience it in the months ahead.

The number of Gardaí in this county have plummeted by 32 from the figure 10 years ago – while 2017 saw just 10 new Gardaí stationed here, the second lowest figure nationally.
