Nearly 21,000 people in Clare have received at least one Pandemic Unemployment Payment in Clare since it was introduced last year.
The figure has been revealed by the Department of Finance, as they report spending a total of €11.5 billion in COVID-19 welfare supports in the past twelve months.
That’s the equivalent of over €2,300 for every person in the country.
