Muintir Na Tíre Claim Communities Not Feeling Benefit Of Savings From Closing Down Garda Stations

The Inagh-based CEO of Muintir na Tíre claims rural communities haven’t seen the benefits of the money saved by closing down Garda stations.

It comes as it’s revealed two former stations in Clare have been sold – with one in Labasheeda fetching just €18,500.

In total, 42 former stations have been sold in the past four years with €3.2 million raised in total from the transactions.
