Muintir Na Tíre Boss Believes Big Budget Isn’t Needed To Make Difference In Rural Ireland

The Inagh-based CEO of Muintir na Tíre believes the government could be making strides in rural development – even without a big budget.

It’s after Minister Michael Ring launched a ‘ferocious’ attack on the Cabinet over the funding allocation for the Department of Rural and Community Development in Budget 2018.

A total of €19 million was awarded to the department – marking a 12 percent increase in the previous year, something that has seen criticism.
