A new survey has shown a majority of Irish motorists support more investment going towards electric cars.
The figures from the AA show over 70 per cent of drivers support some increased government investment in charging points for electronic vehicles.
41 per cent of the 5 thousand people interviewed for the survey say it should be a key government priority.
