New Moorings and Walkways have been constructed in Killaloe in a 1.5 million euro project funded by Waterways Ireland and Failte Ireland in an effort to increase tourism activity in the area.
The development, which has been built by Kilmihil contractor LM Keating, will be officially open by Minister for Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht Jimmy Deenihan later.
The 775 metres of moorings will greatly expand the number of boats which will be able to berth in Killaloe, and South East Clare Councillor Cathal Crowe is hopeful it will see more visitors come to the area
