Minister Defends Rising Costs of Ennis Flood Relief Scheme

Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran has defended the increase in costs and delays for the Ennis South Flood Relief Scheme.

Costs for the project have risen to €9.7 million, up from the original estimate of €8.6 million.

The scheme is designed to protect over 120 homes and businesses from flooding, with 27 months work of works to begin in late April.
