Midwest Simon is expressing hope that new rules to try keep rent prices from rising to extortionate levels will keep landlords in check.
The Housing Minister has proposed a new rent register, which will show the average price in your local area, in a bid to expose rip-off landlords.
It’s one of a series of measures to be considered by the Cabinet today, including the extension of minimum notice periods that landlords must give tenants from 42 days to four months.
