Midwest ICU Consultant Hopeful Worst Of Pandemic Behind Us

A leading Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine in the Midwest has expressed hope that the worst of the pandemic is behind us, but she’s warning that covid-19 will remain with us for some time.

There were 232 people with Covid-19 in hospitals this morning, the lowest since December 20th and an 11 per cent reductionon yesterday morning’s total, while there were 60 patients in ICU overnight.

Here in Clare, there have been fewer than five daily cases of Covid-19 confirmed in recent weeks.
