McNamara To Learn European Elections Fate

The field of candidates for the Ireland South constituency in the upcoming European elections should become clearer today.

Former Clare Labour TD, Michael McNamara is hoping to secure the party’s nomination at their convention this afternoon –
Sheila Nunan, who is known for her work with the INTO, is another candidate.

Fine Gael will also select their candidates today – sitting MEPs Sean Kelly and Deirdre Clune, and TDs Andrew Doyle and Marcella Corcoran-Kennedy are seeking a nomination.
