2019 Irish Open Host Paul McGinley believes it’s vital the local community embrace the event in Lahinch to make it a global success.
The tournament will be played at the famous North Clare venue for the first time in it’s history next July with some of the biggest names in the sport expected to take part.
A festival including watersports and live music is also in the pipeline to add to proceedings, with a huge boost expected for the local economy.
