Shannon Councillor Mary Brennan has been confirmed as the town’s mayor.
Councillor Brennan was bestowed with the honour at a meeting of Shannon Town Council last evening.
She replaces the recently elected Senator Tony Mulcahy.

Councillor Brennan will retain the title until the Council’s AGM later this month, when it is anticipated that she will be re-elected into the position.
