A Tipperary boat builder is hoping to return a 50-year-old rowing boat built in East Clare to a new owner in the Banner County.
Borrisokane man John Meagher owns a timber rowing boat, which was one of the last built by the late John Tiernan in Mountshannon and was previously owned by a family who used it on Lough Derg.
Despite its age, the timber on the boat is in good repair, with just certain sections needing to be repaired.

Now, John wants to return it to a new owner in the Banner County and says he’ll deliver it to a good owner free of charge.
