Irish abuse survivor Marie Collins has resigned from a Vatican panel set up to fight sex abuse in the church.
She’s blaming a ‘shameful’ lack of co-operation for her decision to step down.
In her resignation letter Mrs Collins said she was impressed with Pope Francis’ genuine wish to tackle the issue, but claimed there were constant setbacks.
She says she’ll continue helping with church training projects.
Archbishop Diarmuid Martin has called Marie Collins a person of integrity who is not afraid to chart her own course.
