Mandatory Retirement Described As “Age Discrimination”

Mandatory retirement is being described as “age discrimination” by a leading charity.

Age Action say it’s not fair to force someone out of a job because they’ve reached an arbitrary age set by their employer.

The group – which represents older people – is urging TDs to back a Bill to abolish mandatory retirement clauses.
