Man Recovering In Hospital Following North Clare Climbing Accident

A man is recovering in hospital after falling almost fifteen feet while rock climbing in North Clare

The Italian man in his 30’s was climbing the rock face at Ailladee, on the Lisdoonvarna to Ballyvaughan road yesterday around 3.30, when the accident happened.

Emergency services were alerted and he was airlifted by the Shannon Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 115 to University hospital Limerick, where he’s being treated for multiple fractures, though his injuries are not life threatening.
