One person has been taken to hospital following a ramming incident in Ennis overnight.
Shortly before 9.30 last night, Gardaí received a report of two vehicles heading in the direction of the Clare road, which were involved in a pursuit.
During the course of the incident, a car was rammed by a jeep, causing it to collide with a pole in the Ardlea Close area and when the driver exited the car, he was then hit by the jeep.
Emergency services arrived on scene and the man was subsequently taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick, where he was treated for injuries that were not serious.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident and Garda Siobhán Madden from Clare’s Crime Prevention Office has details of the jeep they believe was involved in the incident.
