Work is expected to begin in the spring on a major extension and refurbishment of the Shannion Aviation Museum.
The facility at Atlantic Air Adventures in Smithstown, Shannon recently received a major boost of €160,000 under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme for the project.
It will include a bigger building for the museum, along with better facilities including a shop and café for those visiting.
