Long-Term Funding Commitment For CF Treatment

The Health Minster has secured a long-term commitment from government for the future funding of treatments for cystic fibrosis.

It will result in the availability of Orkambi to patients aged 12 years and older from next month, and Kalydeco to patients aged two to five, in a deal believed to cost hundreds of millions of euro over the next decade.

The commitment also extends to providing access to other treatments as they become available.
