Final Killaloe Candidates Take Part In Local Election Debate

The final Clare FM debate for candidates running in the Killaloe Municipal District for the upcoming local elections has seen a strong call for support for rural areas.

Sitting councillors Fianna Fáil’s Pat Hayes and Pat Burke of Fine Gael were joined in the last evening’s debate by Beckha Doyle of the Social Democrats, Sinn Féin’s Seán Naughten and Fine Gael hopeful Ger O’Halloran.

The development of Holy Island as a tourist destination and the controversial issues of the Killaloe bypass and the Moylussa windfarm also ruffled some feathers.
