Nurses say the region’s main hospital is the most overcrowded in the country once again today.

The latest figures from the INMO show 38 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 16 of those in the emergency department.

It comes on a day where 268 people are waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
