Limerick And Galway University Hospitals The Busiest In The Country

Nurses say the region’s main hospital remains the most overcrowded in the country once again today.

The latest figures from the INMO shows 44 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 33 of those in the emergency Department.

It represents a significant drop on last week’s peak, when 63 patients were left waiting on trolleys.

Today’s overall figure is ten more than University Hospital Galway, the second busiest facility in the country today.
