The PGA European Tour is lodging its license application with Clare County Council to allow it stage the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open in Lahinch next summer.

The application is a procedural step to allow the event to go ahead there.

The Tour’s application covers the four days of competition from July 4th-7th next, as well as the days building up to the event, and they anticipate up to 100,000 visitors that week.

The application covers areas including car parking, catering and entertainment facilities, and will be available for inspection at Clare County Council offices in the weeks ahead.
