Leading economists outline alternatives to austerity measures

Some of the Country’s most senior Government Ministers are due in Clare next week to discuss issues like unemployment, the economy, and Agriculture.

Transport Minister Noel Dempsey, Social Protection Minister Eamon O’Cuiv and Brendan Smith from the Department of Agriculture will join Defence Minister Tony Killeen for the Clare Fianna Fail Conference in Ennis on Saturday, October 30th.

They’ll also be joined by Junior Minister Dara Calleary and Deputy Timmy Dooley for the event at the West County Hotel, where the agenda will include, Banking and the Economy, Agriculture and Food, Job Creation and Transport.

The senior Ministers are also expected to hear local concerns about tough budget cuts to come, and fears for the future performance of Fianna Fail in Clare, given the poor state of the Irish Economy.
