The long wait is over for residents in Clarecastle as the Latoon Bridge has reopened.
The bridge, which is on a main artery into the village, was closed for emergency works in November of last year.
A structural investigation at that time found that significant repairs were required.

It was originally to reopen on Monday but was given the go-ahead by the local authority this evening.
A stop-go system will be in place for a short time as the bridge reopens.
Clare County Council says it acknowledges the patience of local people and business owners and also wishes to acknowledge the funding provided by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, which made this project possible.
