A new report into house prices has re-affirmed a growth in house prices in Clare.
The report from MyHome.ie finds a 6.6% growth in asking prices in Clare, with the average price of a home here standing at 170 thousand euro.
However, the same report shows the annual rate of inflation has surged to 9 per cent nationally and that homes in Dublin are more than twice as expensive than here in the Banner County.
Managing Director of MyHome Angela Keegan believes we won’t see a return to Celtic Tiger prices as the situation is slowly changing.
Meanwhile, new statistics show that rents in West and North Clare are considerably cheaper than other parts of the county.
Residents in the Shannon Electoral area are paying the highest rents in Clare, but this is still far less than the national average.
