Kilrush Retailer Calls For Reduced VAT Rate To Aid Local Stores

A Kilrush retailer is calling for a two percent reduction to the VAT rate to help local stores.

Marian McMahon Jones has echoed the calls of business group ISME, who want the government to cut VAT to 21% in next month’s budget.

ISME claims that reducing the tax is vital to help retailers in smaller communities survive as online shopping trends increase.
