Candidates contesting the local elections in a newly expanded Killaloe electoral area will meet for their only public debate on the big East Clare issues today.
Electoral boundary changes have seen the former electoral areas of Scariff and Killaloe brought together as one with one less councillor between them, and this morning 8 Killaloe electoral area candidates will give their verdict on how the move will affect local voters issues and local candidates chances on June 5th.
They’ll also be debating the big issues including ongoing concerns over a possible Limerick Boundary extension, the threat of urban gangland crime in parts of rural Clare, ambulance cover in Scariff and commuter pressures on local roads when they take part in an exclusive live debate on Clare FM’s Morning Focus from 9 o’clock
