Killaloe Diocese Addresses Debate Over Cathedral Bells

People in Ennis are being asked to remember why the Cathedral bells chime.

It follows a recent debate on social media about the frequency of their sound – with some expressing concern that it disturbs the nearby residents.

They’ve been ringing in the county town since the late 1870s in the Cathedral on O’Connell Street.
